Detection & Activation Circuits

Train Detector and Activator : A detection circuit with photo cells and a DPDT relay. Perfect for operating Bell sounds, signals, etc. Circuit is activated when a train covers any of the photo cells, and was designed with grade crossings in mind.   The 4 photocell unit works best for single track grade crossings, while the 8 photocell unit can support 2-track crossings.  Requires 12 Volt DC   (All Gauges)

Infrared Train Detector and Activator - Similar to above, except when you break either of the two infrared "beams", the circuit activates the included DPDT relay.  Beam length (between source and detector) can be up to 8 inches, allowing one beam to cover multiple tracks.  Specially designed for night scenes or low light areas.  

2 beam unit: Includes 2 Infrared light sources and detectors : $29.00 each

Infrared Automatic Flashing Unit - As with our Train detector unit,  this product will detect a train using 2 infrared beams.  It will then activate and alternately flash crossbucks from other manufacturers.

While we obviously prefer you to buy our crossbucks, we don't expect you to throw away a perfectly good set that you already have...

Three Way Switch Matrix - For use with slow motion switch machines, this circuit automatically aligns turnouts on your 3 way switch.  A simple push of a button operates the circuit and gives you a green indicator light on your control panel indicating which track your train will be taking.
